R350 GRANT – PENDING FOR WEEKS? HERE’S WHY AND WHAT TO DO

SASSA is working with banks to confirm if you get any other form of payment before they approve your SRD grant.

How long has it been since you appealed and your application is still pending?

two weeks?, Maybe 5 weeks for others. This is the major flaw of the R350 grant system.

A lot of people complain that right after they appeal, the big wait begins

as much as they need the funds they have no option but to keep waiting.

But what causes this?

SASSA has always mentioned that every single month they will confirm each and every applicants details,

this is done to ensure that the applicant still qualifies for the R350 grant.

SASSA does this because it may happen that during the course of a particular month

an applicant may obtain a job, or they may receive other forms of payment making them automatically no longer eligible for the relief grant.

This is considered to be fraudulent if your employment status changes immediately.

R350 GRANT

SASSA recently announced that they will be working with banks countrywide,

the agency said this will be done to make sure that they do not give the grant to people who have an income flow.

Persons who have an amount of R595 per month into their

bank account will not be considered for the R350

as this is considered to be an alternative income source.

What to do when it (R350 GRANT) is pending after reconsideration?

The biggest question lies behind that for everybody

what must you do when it is pending for a long time right after reconsideration application?.

The best thing you can do after this is wait, you should keep checking your status

on a daily basis as two things may happen. You may be declined again

or you may be successfully approved.
