SASSA R624 PER CHILD INCREASE : HERE’S WHAT TO EXPECT

WILL THE CHILD SUPPORT GRANT INCREASE EVER COME TO R624, IF IT DOES WHAT DO PEOPLE HAVE TO EXPECT?.

The SASSA child support grant has played a key role, having to increase it to R624 would be special too as it has played a big role in

in ensuring that it tackles poverty in some parts or South Africa.

However people now seek for more from the government and the agency itself –

there have been rumours circulating around social media,

saying that people want an increase of the child support grant. Not only that but they want it to be R624 per child.

The question that remains is will it ever happen?

The straight answer for this is probably not, because let’s say the grant was increased.

What would people have to expect from this?. Here’s my opinion.

If COSATU and other constitutional parties won the fight against the government,

in trying to increase the social grant they would most probably be the most voted for party in South Africa.

This would lead to people having quarrels between which party is the best to be voted for –

of which would be a bloodbath in our country.

R624 per child– Is it deserving?

Well, most probably due to the pandemic what i would say the government do,

they should consider increasing the grant for a short period of time to support the poor during the Covid-19 pandemic.

From there it can be then reversed back to its original amount.

Nonetheless there would be positive and negative side like everything else,

should the child support grant be increased. A lot of mothers will misuse the money.

Without actually buying what their children need,

the disadvantages of this is that some mothers have more than two children meaning they will be getting more money from the government.

Fraud will be on the rise and people committing crimes online targetting the poor more especially.

Why is it that we that get social grant do not qualify for R350 when the president said us as beneficiary may also apply but now that we do it’s been declined, but most of social grant beneficiaries was approved an also got the R350. I feel that’s just very unfair towards those that really need it.

  • The idea of child support grant to be increased is reasonable especially for unemployed single mothers who cant even receive the srd grant because they receive their grant through the bank and they are declined reason being’ source of income identified without checking where the money come from.its so unfair and people who need the money the most dont receive it sassa should check their decline reasons thoroughly again people from 35-60 should get some kind of grant as they are classified as over age in the work place rather than giving everyone srd grant the under aged( 18-35)are employable and they are our responsiblity(live under our roof)so the government should reconsider carefully when coming to any type of grant
